Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)

The beauty of hardwood with the durability of stone. Scratch-resistant, waterproof flooring designed for Utah's active lifestyle.

Life-Proof Flooring for Utah Homes

Scratch-resistant flooring perfect for pets and high traffic. Get the look of wood without the maintenance.

Real hardwood is beautiful, but it doesn't always mix well with big dogs, energetic kids, and wet winter boots. Scratches, dents, and water damage can ruin your investment in months. That is why LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) has become the #1 flooring choice for homeowners in Lehi and Draper.

At Prospera Home Solutions, we specialize in precision LVP installation. We understand that a great floor depends on a level subfloor and tight locking mechanisms. We deliver a seamless finish that looks indistinguishable from real wood but handles life's messes with ease.

The Pet-Friendly Choice

LVP features a commercial-grade wear layer that resists claw marks and stains. Unlike laminate, which swells when wet, LVP is 100% waterproof—making it safe for kitchen spills, potty training accidents, and snowy entryways.

Why Choose LVP?

Modern vinyl technology creates high-definition visuals with a rigid core for ultimate stability.

  • 100% Waterproof: Ideal for basements, kitchens, and bathrooms. It will never warp, cup, or mold due to moisture exposure.
  • Extreme Durability: Engineered to resist heavy foot traffic, dropped toys, and furniture drags. It lasts for decades with minimal maintenance.
  • Quiet & Warm: Many LVP products come with attached acoustic padding that reduces hollow tapping sounds and feels warmer underfoot than tile or laminate.
  • Seamless Transitions: We undercut door jambs and use minimal transition strips to create a smooth, continuous flow from room to room.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you install LVP over my existing floor?
In many cases, yes! As long as the existing floor (like tile or linoleum) is flat, hard, and securely adhered, LVP can float right over it, saving you money on demolition.
Do I need underlayment?
Most modern LVP comes with a pre-attached pad. However, for concrete basements, we recommend a 6-mil vapor barrier to prevent moisture from rising up.
Can you install LVP on stairs?
Yes. We use special stair nosing profiles to create safe, seamless steps that match your main flooring perfectly.
What about the baseboards?
We usually remove the baseboards, install the floor, and re-install them. For the best look, we recommend upgrading to new, taller baseboards to cover any paint lines.
