Crown Molding & Trim Installation

Elevate your home's aesthetic with high-end carpentry. Expert installation of crown molding, baseboards, and wainscoting in Utah.

Elegant Detail for Every Room

Transform a plain room into a sophisticated space with seamless crown molding, wainscoting, and baseboard installation.

It is often said that trim is the "jewelry" of a home. Standard builder-grade finishes often leave a home feeling incomplete or boxy. By adding custom crown molding or upgrading to taller, modern baseboards, you instantly increase the visual value and character of your property.

At Prospera Home Solutions, we specialize in high-end finish carpentry. We don't just "nail up boards." We focus on tight joints, seamless caulking, and perfect coped corners that withstand the shifting seasons of Utah without cracking.

The "Coped" Difference

Amateurs simply cut corners at 45 degrees, which eventually separates leaving ugly gaps. We professionally "cope" our inside corners—a technique of hand-cutting the profile to fit snugly against the adjacent piece—ensuring tight seams that last forever.

Our Carpentry Services

Whether you want a modern farmhouse look with shiplap or a traditional elegant feel with crown molding, we have the skills to execute it.

  • Crown Molding: The ultimate upgrade. We install various profiles (4", 5", 7") to draw the eye upward and make ceilings feel higher and grander.
  • Baseboard & Casing Upgrade: Replace those cheap, short 3" baseboards with substantial 5" or 6" craftsmen style trim. We also frame windows and doors (casing) for a finished look.
  • Wainscoting & Accent Walls: Add texture and depth with Board and Batten, Shiplap, or Beadboard. Perfect for entryways, dining rooms, and master bedrooms.
  • Finish & Paint: We don't leave you with a mess. We fill every nail hole, caulk every seam, and can paint the new trim to match your existing color palette flawlessly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I use MDF or Real Wood trim?
If you plan to paint the trim white (standard), MDF is superior as it is stable, doesn't warp, and has a smoother finish. If you want a stained wood look, we use solid Pine, Oak, or Alder.
Do you paint the trim before or after installation?
We typically install pre-primed material. Once installed, we fill holes and caulk seams. The final coat of paint is applied after installation to ensure a completely seamless look.
How long does it take to install crown molding in a room?
An average-sized living room or bedroom can usually be trimmed out in a single day. Larger projects involving the whole house may take 3-5 days.
Can you match my existing baseboards?
Yes. If you are renovating just one room, we can source trim profiles that match the rest of your house perfectly for continuity.
